We meet at 10 p.m. each Wednesday in room 102 of Scott Hall on College Avenue.

Our four centers are working on a diverse array of exciting projects:

The Center on Higher Education:

Determining ways the New Jersey's state government can provide ample funding to its public colleges and universities while striving for fiscal solvency is this center's main goal.

The center has been coming up with creative policy that does not just demand more money: It provides ways to generate more revenue to adequately fund the vital institution of higher education.

The Center on Micro-Finance

This center works apply micro-financing, which has yielded a great deal of success in alleviating poverty in developing nations, to the vibrant community that Rutgers calls home. Its members are looking into how best to compliment agencies that now loan to small business owners and raising funds to start a non-profit, micro-lending bank.

The Center on Community Building

The center aims to address issues like childcare and cemetery preservation while conducting research on best practices in micro-finance and recruiting borrowers.

The Center on Democracy

Why should New Jerseyans  have to register a month in advance to voice their opinions in an election? Why should millions of Americans face disenfranchisement in addition to jail time? How can we ensure as many potential voters  as possible are resgistered?

Questions like these drive this cener. Its members are producing innovative policy to ensure as many Americans as possible can participate in democracy.
